Recommendations for proper blood pressure measurement:

Read the Omron blood pressure monitor instruction manual carefully.
Take the measurement in a quiet place and remain seated in a relaxed, upright and straight back position.
The chair and the surface of the table should be at a distance between 25 and 30 cm.
Remove garments that squeeze on your upper arm and any thick garments, such as a sweater. Do not put the cuff over thick garments and do not roll up your sleeves so that the sleeve is tight around your arm.
Place your arm on a table so that the cuff is at the same height as your heart.
Make sure it is not too hot or too cold in the room.
Do not eat, drink, smoke, or exercise for at least 30 minutes before taking a measurement.
Do not move or speak while the measurement is being made.
